A little bit about me

Ever since I was in my late 20’s I sensed a call on my life to serve the Lord in full-time ministry.  Unfortunately, selfish ambitions lead me down a much different path that ultimately landed me in a treatment facility at the age of 45.  From striving and achieving great financial success, according to the world’s standards, to ultimately destroying a marriage of 24 years, severely damaging relationships with my children and family, becoming jobless, homeless and dying in my addictions.  BUT GOD!  In 2006, Christ reached out and rescued me from the depths of depravity and the grips of death.  I sensed Him placing me in His lap and sharing with me that I was loved and everything was going to be okay.  Ever since that moment He has been transforming me into the man of God he created me to be.  I can now say with all humility and sincerity that I’m the most blessed man I know and that I truly love my life!!!!   My wife Rochelle and I have been incredibly blessed and happily married since 2006.  We have a beautiful blended family of 6 children  (3 my biological, 3 Rochelle’s biological, (2 I’ve adopted, and 1 stepson)) and 6, soon to be 7 grandchildren.  I finally answered the call to go into full-time ministry in 2009 as the Director of Ministry for LifeRight Outreach in Alexandria, MN.  LifeRight Outreach is a Christian transitional housing facility for people coming out of things like prison, jail, treatment, etc.  After 7 years, I felt the Lord’s prompting to launch a church. So, in a huge leap of faith, we had our 1st service in January 2016.  It was on that day God breathed into life ' The Church in the Pines'!  These years since birthing the church have been absolutely amazing and nothing short of miraculous!   As a church we stress that our purpose is to know Christ and make Him known. This comes through developing a personal relationship between you and the Lord. Understanding your complete and true identity in Christ, in light of the finished work of the cross, is foundational to what we believe and teach.
As Lead Pastor, I feel so blessed, honored and privileged to be a part of this body of believers.
Please come see and be a part of all that the Lord is doing in and through this precious church.
