The Church in the Pines is a “come as you are”, non-denominational church, that was founded by Jay & Rochelle Jenson and a small group of like-minded believers in December of 2015.  “The Church” (formerly named) held its 1st service on January 3, 2016 in Alexandria’s Broadway Ballroom.  A few months later we moved to its current location, on 10 acres set in the middle of a beautiful pine forest just west of Alexandria.  That’s when the name “The Church in the Pines” was birthed.  The property was purchased in mid-2016 and by the miraculous hand of God it will be “Paid in Full” in early 2020.      

Our church family has grown into a very eclectic and loving group of people who are hungry to know Christ more and eager to make Him known.  Each week, Pastor Jay delivers a relevant scripture packed message that focuses on the magnitude of what Christ has done for us on the cross and what that means for each of us personally. As Christians, our past does not define who we are, it’s all about our identity in Christ!  God’s Word clearly describes who Christ says we are, and it provides perfect instruction as to how we can renew our minds to those truths.  Our hearts desire is that everyone who steps foot into The Church in the Pines leaves with a better understanding of who Christ is, how loved they are and understand that a victorious life in Christ is not only possible, but is witnessed through the lives of its church family.  We as a church, are also very intentional about training our men on the importance of, and what it looks like to be a man of God and the spiritual leader of their homes.

8:00, 9:30 & 11:30 am

1st service is condensed to 8:00-9:00
 with praise & worship, a sermon and communion
2nd service is longer from 9:30-11:00
 with  Nursery ages2-4
3rd service runs from 11:30am to 12:30pm
