We are excited that you are interested in serving on our Children's Ministry Team! You will find descriptions of the roles and responsibilities of various positions and links to different training materials here. All volunteers 18 and older are required to complete a background check.
TCITP has been working on some new scheduling. We are currently recruiting volunteers to serve in Children's Ministry as we are going to offer it during both services. Potential Launch Date: February 15th, 2026.

Roles & Responsibilities
LEADERSHIP
Children's Pastor - Austin Arias

Responsible for Vision and Mission, 2nd-6th grade service, oversees curriculum, camp, and other special events. Onboarding and pastoring volunteers. Oversees 0-12 years olds.
Operations Director Mickie Schreder
childrens@tcitp.org
Responsible for scheduling, room supplies, implements curriculum, crafts for all rooms and oversees infant -1st grade in the new building on Sundays. Helps with event planning and special events.
Operations Team (3-4 leads)
Oversees safety and process, Able to step into any role at TCITP Kids (Emergency Leads), Helps with overall health of the ministry. Helps plan and create events for our kids to participate in. Oversees curriculum and function of the ministry as a whole.
KID'S CHURCH
TCITP Kids Sunday Leads (2nd-6th Grade)
Small group leaders will be the main people to minister and disciple kids, while helping with Sunday flow. Being involved with everything we do at Kid’s Church, and having some input on what we are teaching and how we are effectively ministering and discipling kids. All direction and planning will come from the Children’s Pastor.
TCITP KIDS Worship
Brings energy and could be on the spark team and potentially live worship in the future. Would collaborate with the Children’s Pastor on how to teach kids and usher kids into worship.
TCITP KIDS Tech and Media
Lyrics and a major part of the flow of service from playing sounders and putting up slides, to doing videos during transitions.This has to be a very responsible team as there are many moving parts.
TCITP KIDS Spark Team
Brings the Energy!!! Welcoming kids, upfront leading with hand motions, also helping create a safe and fun environment while playing games. The main example of what it looks like to participate in what is happening from games, to worship and prayer.
PRE K - 1ST GRADE
Classroom Leads
Works directly with Mickie and leads the classroom, teaches curriculum that is provided. Including a snack and craft or activity.
Classroom Helpers
Great spot for older kids or youth to be a direct support to the classroom lead. This includes but is not limited to: preparing snacks, helping directly with children's needs, grabbing something from other rooms if needed, any clean up during class and afterwards, or any other support the lead may need.
INFANT - AGE 3
Classroom Leads
Ages 1-2 focuses on nurturing and playing.
Classroom Leads
3’s will begin the process of training the children to be able to transition smoothly from one activity to another. This includes, but is not limited to: reading a story, singing simple songs, snack, and low maintenance crafts like coloring, etc.
Classroom Helpers
For ages 1-3 helpers will be responsible for supporting the leads in any way that they need. This role is very similar to the PRE-K helpers above.
OTHER NEEDS
Special Events
Help with planning and execution of special events from camps, VBS, Christmas\Easter programs, etc. Includes working some of the events if not all.
Craft Team
Help gather and create crafts and supplies for all of the classroom including Kid’s Church. We would plan out month to month and get multiple weeks planned out.
Children are a high priority in God's heart.
It's part of the "least, littlest and last" principle Jesus teaches us.
TCITP has LLL people at the center of our heart too!
Therefore, we desire to provide excellent childcare during Children's church.

3. Efficient communication and protocols:
a. Registration of children and parent's information: release forms, name tags on each child, allergy/special need considerations.
b. Parental notification during services.
c. Scheduling needs: communication, subs, reminders, thank yous, questions, ideas.
